You Broke Like Glass

by: JL Lasan

Shower up for the party...

The ride starts now:

Your love is like mildew
That ruins the beautiful moss
Your love is like a dear friend,
And I deeply grieve its loss.

Your love is like a catapult
That tears down mighty walls
Your love is like a symphony
That brought sorrow to the halls.

Your love is like the morning
That corrupts the evening stars
Your love is like the evening
That corrupts the sunset hours.

Your love is like ice cream
on a cold winter day
Your love is rotten nectar
That drives the bees away.

Your love is early classes
(never fails to ruin my slumber)
Your love is noisy chainsaws
For poor, lonely lumber

Your love is like a poem
That is so long and so annoying
Your love is like a song
That's dedicated to the dying.

Your love is like a cancer
That caused a million and one deaths
Your love is like a sickle
That is sharp out of its sheath.

Your love is nothing...
But a second rate, trying hard, copycat.
Your love is like a lady
That has overdosed with Orlistat

Your love is like a storm
That devastated all our houses
Your love is like a mousetrap
That murders cutie little... (mouses?)

Your love is like cheap wine...
That is so not fit for dates.
Your love is like cheap roses
That smelled of burial crates.

Your love is a broken record
That ever repeats its senseless lines,
Your love is a broken record
That ever repeats its senseless lines.

Your love is a broken record
That ever repeats its senseless lines,
Your love is a broken record
That ever repeats its senseless lines.

Just when I thought you and I would last...
You broke like glass.
